Keyword Stuffing
Many newcomers to the webmasters game tend to add a lot of keywords top their content in hopes of getting more results from a search engine. But for those new to the web who really are just getting used to how things work , stuffing your site with keywords in order to get results is very unethical and it is considered to be Black Hat in the world of Search Engine Optimization. Many times keyword stuffing begins in the meta tags or in the content. It may sound like a great idea but the truth is that is not the right thing to do. Sometimes keyword stuffing is not done in plain site, what sometimes happens is that they create a text using CSS to hide the keywords in the background of the website, so that it is not visible to the naked eye. Another popular device to keyword stuff is called no script tags. Though this method is said to be acceptable, it is really up to the search engines on whether or not they want to give you ranking for it. But some webmasters can over use it and that the search engines will not accept. In the sense of keyword stuffing, search engines will accept some methods and therefore you can consider that White Hat and other methods are definitely frowned upon which are considered Black Hat. Many people use keyword stuffing as a form of spamming or spamdexing. Spamdexing is a technique used in many ways in order to change the relevancy of information that is already indexed by the search engines. When you are trying to get noticed in the search engines try as much as you can to keep every thing you do on the up and up. You want your web experience to be a positive one so don’t get penalized for something so petty. It takes time and hard work in order to get rewarded for it. Popularity: 27%
