It’s Here - Safari for Windows
Apple released their web browser, Safari, for windows and so far about 1 million window users have downloaded it. OK, me included. To say it is better than Internet Explorer really doesn’t mean much, what isn’t? It is however reported to be faster than Firefox 2.0, to me that was worth seeing. Though the 3.0 was very quickly followed by a 3.0.1 release to fix security issues, that isn’t all I see wrong with Safari. The major flaw I see with it is it is very much Mac like still and the fonts seem a little off as well as resizing the windows are set and can not be adjusted. I know Apple did this because the IPhone will run multiple programs and of course that means Windows based programs, but they have a long way to go. You can download it here and all it means is there is one more browser to check and see if our sites look like there suppose to, but if Apple plans on competing in the windows browser world, they have a lot of catching up to do.
