Could Your Content Rank?

Hopefully you realize that Google places a high importance to original content on your web page. Though no one is certain what significance Google puts of each of factors in their algorithm, there seems to be a similarity in the content of top ranking sites.

  • Fresh Content
The top sites update their content once or week at the minimum and most more often than that
  • Grammar and Spelling
There are no errors or at least a very few on any pages. Which makes me wonder if Google spell-checks? If you write your content in a word processors like Microsoft Words take the time to spell check.
  • Be Brief
Most paragraphs are 1-4 sentences. Very few long blocks of texts are found.
  • Lists
Large areas of the text are bulleted or numbered in an organized list.
  • Sentence Structure
You will find most sentences to be brief (about 10 words). Longer sentences are sparingly used throughout the content and rarely written back to back.
  • Keyword Related
Content contains keywords at the right density, terms related to keyword and variation of keywords.
