Without website traffic your site will just sit there looking good. Like owning and expensive, fast, one of a kind vehicle and not putting gasoline in it.
Now realizing you need traffic from somewhere, most website owners run out and start spending money and time trying to get as many hits to their sites as possible, but lets not be fooled, hits to you site is not always what you want. Most website owners do not realize there are two kinds of traffic that produce hits on your site. There is a huge difference in the two kinds. Five Key Stats Involving Your Website Traffic
You have labored tirelessly on your site for months. You have researched keywords, concentrated on key phrases, built links and are listed in search engines. How do you find out if all that work and tons of hours are working? It is easy if your host has CPanel with AWStats
It is not necessary to have CPanel to use this program, it is what I am most familiar with and will start from there. When I check my web page traffic statistics I click on Web/FTP Stats and then AWStats. If you are hosting more than one domain then you have more step and that is to click on the domain you are checking. Popularity: 12%
